Meet Dr. Tamara Cranfill
Dr. Tammy Cranfill is Associate Professor in the Communication Disorders Program at Eastern Kentucky University. She received her doctorate from the University of Kentucky in Rehabilitation Sciences. Her research interests include neurogenic communication disorders, quality of life issues related to chronic communication disorders, and interprofessional practice. She teaches neuroanatomy, dysphagia, neurogenic communication disorders, professional issues, and AAC courses as well as coordinates the medical externship placements for graduate students. She served as President to the Kentucky Speech-Language-Hearing Association in 2014-15 and currently serves as Vice-President of Higher Education. Dr. Cranfill practiced in multiple settings (home health, hospital, outpatient, long-term care, First Steps, schools, and private practice) for nearly 28 years prior to coming to academia.
