The Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic began serving our campus and community in 1972 and marks the 50th anniversary this academic year. Since 1969, Eastern Kentucky University's Communication Sciences and Disorders academic program has prepared a growing number of students for in-demand careers in speech-language pathology and audiology.
Our purpose extends beyone equipping qualified professionals. A hallmark of our program, for over 50 years, has been our commitment to our community.
Today's students practice compassionate care through hands-on learning experiences, and we're ready for more.
Our goal is to raise $50,000 this year to continue our technology upgrades for academic and clinical use. An addition of voice/swallow endoscopy system for evaluation and teaching will benefit our clients and students with hands-on experience and practice. We have purchased the equipment, but now need technology to support our new voice and swallow laboratory. In addition to this new laboratory space, general maintainance and materials are an ongoing need.
We take pride in our uncompromising mission to serve, and we invite you to be part of this bold step forward.
Will you help us by making a special gift today?
